A Bright Spot

Today I woke up feeling down, but I didn't let the bad start detour me from going out and making it a good day. I went to my favorite hangout spot, met up with a few friends and made it into a positive day. The moral is, even when your down you can't dwell on it, you have to get up, get out, and do something to lift your spirits. Live life!

I couldn't have said it

I couldn't have said it better myself. When you are down it is great to find something positive to keep you going. Life is too short to waste it with unhappiness.

That is the best moral anyone

That is the best moral anyone could have. If you let the bad bring you down, it attracts more bad. If you surround yourself with good it brings good.

I enjoyed the advice given of

I enjoyed the advice given of turning bad thoughts into better ones for the remainder of the day. This is especially true for me because during 2005 I learned that tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. Three surgeries were required that year, and no one knew if I'd survive. It is now 2009. I am alive and grateful to the one who created me.

During those days, the scripture psalm 143:8 lifted my spirits.

While reading the advice, it became a reminder that we are not alone in experiencing moments of sadness or depression. Indeed, when that moment arrives, remember happier moments! Seek a friend! Enjoy fresh air! Relish the breath you expel morning and night!

Psalm 143: 8
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to you.
