So today I had $40 to go groceries....no more. I have my daughter bringing some friends over to spend the night and I knew that I probably would spend quite a bit more than $40. So as I was driving to the grocery store, i remembered that we have a well stocked Dollar Store in town and I thought I'd give it a shot.
To my surprise they had everything I needed, except for fresh fruit, of course and meat but I didnt want any meat.
I had my cart totally full to the top and hoped that I hadn't gone over.
The lady rang up all the items. My total was $40 and some change...ha!!! I had the change so it wasnt a problem. I LOVE Dollar Stores!

I LOVE my Dollar Store. If you take the time to compare prices, most of the time you can beat Walmart's prices hands-down. They don't have the large selection, but who needs that many choices anyway. We wouldn't have been able to buy everything on my son's school supply list were it not for the Dollar Store. Great story!!

Dollar stores are great. There's one near my house which sells all sorts of discontinued products, and I've been able to buy spices and food at discounted prices there.
