When I was a child, I had a very loving aunt who treated me extremely well. She would always play card games and board games with me and do everything possible to make me smile. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her very much.

our childhood that we miss
I'm really glad to see you
I'm really glad to see you are thankful to your aunt. Sometimes we forget how much our "extended family" is so much more than that. And it seems that now adays people dont even connect with their extended families. I think it's important to do so and I'm glad you have such a great memory of your aunt.

Growing up distances us from
Growing up distances us from the people we treasured when children. I miss my aunt a lot, as well. Even though, it is not like I cannot spend time with her. She lives close by but visits are so infrequent that it feels like ages go by between visits. And the visits are no longer as much fun as I seem to rush through the entire trip. :(
