A Bright Spot

I went to the pet store trying to decide what kind of pet I would like to have. I looked at the fish, and the lizards, the turtles and the frogs. There was a bright red tomato frog in a terrarium, facing out toward the aisle where I was standing. I stopped to say hello. As I went to leave, his little front foot came up to touch the glass, as if to say, "Don't leave - take me with you!" And that's the story of how Beefsteak, the tomato frog, came into my life.

I believe that animals have that sense of knowing why you are there. I believe people and animals can have a bond that can be discovered/expressed by sight, reaction and by emotion.. You were very blessed to have this animal come into your path and communicate to you. They say things happen for a reason... and it did for you and beefsteak :)

I found this story very touching indeed. I also have a soft spot in my heart for all animals and pets, but I've never even seen a tomato frog. The description you give of his little froggy foot on the glass is priceless!

That's a nice story. Sometimes animals pick their owners, and it sounds like it was good you two found each other.
