My bright spot would be watching my son advance and grow while training on the local swim team and then competing each week. He is now an above-knee amputee as he was born with birth abnormalities. Despite his physical challenges, he often places first in his division at the meets. He swims against able-bodied children.

What your son does really
What your son does really adds a lot of hope to other people's lives. He has a good attitude and sets a great example for all.

Wow! That's amazing. You are probably great motivation for your son. I used to win some of my swimming races, and it was my family on the sidelines cheering for me that would motivate me the most. And I think having a healthy home life probably helped me focus as well.

Wow, you must be proud of your son! Your son has made remarkable accomplishments. If you have the book "Reflections from a Different Journey", your son could easily write a chapter in that book!
