I've just started learning to play the guitar. I haven't done any kind of music lessons since high school and I'd forgotten how much joy it was possible to take in learning a new skill. It's so easy to be hard on myself for all the things in my life I wish I could do and can't, but guitar is something I actually seem to have some talent for, and that is an amazing feeling.

When I am tired at work,I carry a picture of my grandchildren all together laughing. It keeps me grounded, and makes me thankful for the people in my life.
