I'm a teacher, and last year I had a rough time in one of my classes because of a group of very cliquey and difficult students. By the end of the year, I felt really defeated and frustrated that the class had been so derailed by the meanness and conniving. Yesterday, I happened to run into one student from that class in the grocery store. She greeted me with a big smile and said that even though she didn't talk much in class, she really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

I remember that growing up as a little girl we use to go around family all the time. We were involved in Family Reunions, Picnics, Vacations and so on. I personally had a lot of cousins since both my parents came from very large families so I was never alone growing up. I always had someone around to help me with things I could not do alone, someone was always there to play with me and help me when I scrapped my knee falling out of a tree. I grew up to realize that family means everything and you should never take it for granted!

I absolutely love life! I am here to describe a happy time in my life. I am lucky enough to say that this happy point in my life happened fairly recently. I was in uptown Minneapolis eating at a Famous Dave's with my family. I left from the restaurant to go hang-out with my girlfriend. As I was about to take the entrance ramp to the highway I noticed a homeless man waving his cardboard sign. Feeling full, and maybe a little guilty, I rolled down my window and yelled "Hey Buddy".

When I am tired at work,I carry a picture of my grandchildren all together laughing. It keeps me grounded, and makes me thankful for the people in my life.

I went to the pet store trying to decide what kind of pet I would like to have. I looked at the fish, and the lizards, the turtles and the frogs. There was a bright red tomato frog in a terrarium, facing out toward the aisle where I was standing. I stopped to say hello. As I went to leave, his little front foot came up to touch the glass, as if to say, "Don't leave - take me with you!" And that's the story of how Beefsteak, the tomato frog, came into my life.

Quite a few years ago I was standing at a bus stop waiting for a bus.a child begger came to me asking for some money,I just ignored him but he kept standing there.since my bus did not come for about half an hour I started talking to him.He told me that HE made twenty bucks everyday begging on the streets and he used to eat only once a day and had to go hungry at night and yet he looked so happy and in a jolly mood that I thought I must consider myself lucky and be happy like him.
