I learned a major lesson today. Les Paul died. I've been meaning to see him perform in NYC for years. He played Mondays for years and I kept pushing it off. Now, I'll never get to hear the man that made the electric guitar. Do what matters!

I just got back from vacation and my cats were there to greet me at the door. They must have missed me while I was away, they are so effectionate now!

I rescued a stray baby kitten a few weeks ago. She's the third rescue animal I've taken in. I got her vaccinated and wormed, and have been feeding her lots. She's 14 weeks now, the vet said, and growing like crazy. She likes to wake me up by purring and nibbling on my earlobes. I love that little kitten so much!

God helps those who help themselves. So, before asking God for help, do your best first to solve a problem.

My triplets went off to school on Monday,this was a huge step for them and for me. For the past five years I have been their world and now their world has gotten larger. When each of them got off of the bus I had homemade cookies for them, they had each drawn me a picture saying how much they love me and missed me.
When asked what mommy does now that they are in school. They all said my mommy rest, she needs her rest because she deserves a break.
how sweet is that.

The most important event in my life was getting a college degree. It was difficult and sometimes I felt like I was going to give up. But knowing that people believe in me, gave me the strenght that I needed to keep studying and to graduate on time. I was happy that day. My family was there with me and I made them proud. I will never forget this moment of my life.

I have always wanted to run a marathon, but I've always come up with reason why I couldn't do it: too much school, too much work, I probably wouldn't be able to do it anyways, etc. I thought the closest I would ever get would be watching my friend run a marathon this spring. While I waited for him at the finish line, I saw three women cross the finish line together, hands held high in triumph. Each woman had on pink clothing a wore a head scarf to keep their heads because of what I guessed was chemotherapy. I realized if cancer wasn't an excuse for these women not to finish their marathon, their was no reason I couldn't finish one myself. I'm running a half marathon in a couple of weeks and I'm planning on my first full marathon in the spring.

My cousin just had a baby (a girl). It's the first new family member in a while, so it's great to have a new baby to dote upon.

I was feeling pretty stressed this one week, and money was very tight. I was just sitting around at home wondering what I would do to fix the monetary troubles I was having. I finally decided that I couldn't focus, so went for a walk. On my walk, I found a $100 bill in the street, and had enough to get rid of some of the bills and find a whole new load of courage to get me through the rest of the problems.
